I’m Agneya Limaye, a Computing Science and Mathematics student at Thompson Rivers University.
My interests sit at the intersection of technology, data, and problem solving. I particularly enjoy work where I can take something complex—whether that is a large dataset, an unfamiliar system, or a mathematical problem—and break it down into something understandable and useful.
Over the course of my degree, I have worked across web development, data analytics, software development, and mathematical research. These experiences have helped me discover that I am especially interested in work involving analysis, data quality, structured problem solving, and practical applications of technology.
How I Work
I tend to approach problems by first trying to understand how all the pieces fit together before deciding how to solve them. I enjoy identifying patterns, investigating why something behaves the way it does, and gradually improving a solution rather than treating the first working version as the final one.
That approach has shaped much of my work—from cleaning and validating large datasets, to debugging web applications, to investigating mathematical problems through research.
I also value clear communication. Whether I am documenting a technical change, discussing requirements, or presenting an analysis, I try to make the reasoning behind my work understandable to someone who did not build it.
Experience Beyond the Classroom
My degree has given me opportunities to apply these interests in different environments.
As a Web Developer/Designer Co-op with Thompson Rivers University Marketing & Communications, I have worked on university web properties, content-management systems, site maintenance, modernization projects, and requests from across the university.
I have also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in mathematics, where I explored problems in graph theory and related areas. Research gave me a different kind of problem-solving experience—one where the path to an answer is often not known beforehand and experimentation is part of the process.
These experiences complement my independent projects in data analytics and software development, where I can explore technologies and problems in greater depth.
Education
I am completing a Bachelor of Science with majors in Computing Science and Mathematics at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia.
My studies have included areas such as software development, databases, web technologies, data analysis, algorithms, statistics, calculus, number theory, and discrete mathematics.
